Mobile phone mast
A 4G mast at Mains of Larg, which brought a mobile signal to most of the community.
Live since February 2020

The Trust and New Luce Community Council lobbied the Scottish Government for a mobile phone mast, and the village was included in the Scottish Government's 4G Infill programme. The mast at Mains of Larg, built by WHP Telecoms, went live on 19 February 2020 with Vodafone, and EE followed in February 2021.
In August 2020 the Connectivity Minister, Paul Wheelhouse, visited New Luce to hear how the mast had helped. Most of the community could now get a mobile signal, it made projects like the QR code at the Curling Pond possible, and it provides a connection for smart meters.
