Parking in the village
As part of our community consultations and CAP, the community identified lack of parking spaces as a problem in the village.
New Luce Community Trust have been working on trying to identify various solutions to this issue:
- A topographical survey was carried out to look at various areas within the village to determine viability for additional parking spaces
- This resulted in the survey suggesting the most appropriate area for additional parking was at the Memorial Hall.
- Since then we have been working with the hall committee to take this forward.
- The hall committee have been granted permissions by the Local Authority to install new designated parking bays to the side of the hall.
- There will be 2 bays for electric charging vehicles, 2 bays for disabled parking and 6 bays for all other vehicles.
- The works have been ordered and we hope to have these installed very soon – We will keep everyone updated on progress and completion.
- New Luce Community Trust are funding this project, and hope that the new upgraded parking facilities meets the needs of the Community.
Please use this area for additional parking, the Main Street is not big and gets congested quickly. Please be respectful of everyone and park appropriately.
